About

Hello! I’m Angela, and welcome to Make Mine Fabric. I gather you have read a post or two on my blog, and found it interesting enough to want to know who’s the human behind it!

I am totally new to blogging, and have no experience in creating a website. So when I got round to start writing on this page, I realized I’d introduced myself in my very first post. You know how I have been transformed into a 24/7 stay-at-home mummy, and how wonderful (and challenging!) life is raising a boisterous 2-year old BOY…you get the picture. 🙂

So how did I get here? 😉 Armed with only encouragement from a few friends, I pursued a new hobby called SEWING. I learnt to sew just a few months ago (nope, no talent history here!) in March 2011. With just 5 hours of basic sewing knowledge, I set out to find something I wanted to sew and sell. In April 2011, Make Mine Fabric was established.

WHAT DO WE MAKE?

Make Mine Fabric is all about using fabric to create unique and whimsical homeware such as organizer bins, throw pillows and cushion covers. I wanted to make things I could use at home, so I had to ensure they are functional while looking pretty sitting on my shelf or table.

WHY FABRIC?

I really like the idea of handcrafting things that I use (around the house) that serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose. I chose fabric-based creations because I am just awed by the endless types of fabric prints out there, and the different types of fabric….oh! I can go nuts just shopping online for these! Fabric is so versatile, you can make so many things with it! Different prints tell different stories and evoke different feelings in a person. You will know what I mean when you pick out something from us!

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you enjoy shopping here! 😉
